Speech-Language Pathologist

Overview
S.M.I.L.E.S. is a highly specialized pediatric therapy clinic that offers a fantastic career opportunity for Speech Pathologists with a focus in pediatric care.
Requirements
- Must have ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
- The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in pediatrics
- Must have Level 1 PROMPT Training (Introduction to PROMPT) – Can be in the process of obtaining as we also provide hands-on training to rapidly improve your PROMPT skills and knowledge
- Experience in AAC, Language Processing Disorders, Social Skills, Apraxia and Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Experience in Feeding and RPM is a plus
- The ability and desire to work in a highly collaborative, team environment
- Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency
- Manages schedule and case load efficiently and effectively
- Completes administrative tasks and communicates with clients and team in a timely manner
Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients, develop individualized treatment plans and goals/objectives consistent with client’s diagnosis and status
- Demonstrates sensitivity to clients and/or family needs, customs or feelings
- Maintains confidentiality of client information
- Ability to follow and uphold SMILES’ policies and procedures
Position Type

Occupational Therapist

- Minimum Masters Degree
- Minimum 2 years experience in pediatrics
- Must have experience or certification in one or more of the following specialized areas:
- Primitive Reflex Integration
- Rhythmic Movement
- Massery Training
- NDT
- Astronaut Training
- Sensory Processing Disorders
- BRAIN GYM
- Bal-a-Vis-X
- Body-Brain Connection
- Therapeutic Listening
